Sun Innovations pioneered the patented PLED (projective light emissive display) technology, which can apply and convert any glass or plexiglass windows to a fully transparent emissive display panel, with unlimited viewing angles and field of view.

Major applications on glass windows include:

•  TransPlay: Transparent digital signage portal on glass windows and plexiglass panel (e.g. sneeze guard) of stores or other commercial establishments. An ultrashort throw blue-LED projection is developed to display HD-image onto haze-free green emissive screen, in front or rearview configurations.
• MediaGlass: Display fully transparent HD emissive images on any vehicle glass, including windshield (HUD), side glass, sunroof, etc. We custom-developed compact LED-DLP projectors of various “excitation” wavelengths to display on water-clear emissive screens of various color options and provide them as “development kit”.
• GloSign: Display large and bright glowing signages or commercial messages on any glass window without the projection light leaking through the screen. We custom-developed a blue-ray gobo-slide projector to display pre-made static signages or messages with various stage motion effects on glass windows of stores or other commercial buildings.
• LineShow: Display brilliant animation or line-drawing messages on any glass window without the projection light leaking through the screen. We custom-developed compact laser projectors of various “excitation” wavelengths to display on water-clear emissive screens of various color options.

In addition, the novel transparent emissive screens can be applied onto other surfaces, and solve some major challenges in display industries, for example:

• SuperImaging: Display superior contrast HD-images onto a pitch-black projection screen with top-laden transparent emissive coatings in ambient light. This combines the best of both flat panel display (OLED-like black emissive screen) and digital projection (HD-DLP) and solved the contrast issue of conventional projection image in bright ambient light. • GloPointer:  Conventional laser pointers for projection screen do not work on black screens of flat panel TV and displays. We provide an anti-glare protective screen for any-size TV, with no visual effect on the TV images. It responds instantly to a laser pointer and presents brilliant laser spot on the TV.
